Welcome to Strella

So you’re ready to start your project in Strella - let’s get you started! Once you are signed up with Strella, you should receive an email with access to create an account and you'll have access to your own environment in the Strella app to create your own projects.

Once you’re in your own environment, you can click “+ New Project” in the top right corner of the page.

Defining your research goals

The first pop-up will prompt you to define your research goals - these are important for identifying valuable findings and insights. Your research goals will be used to inform you question guide, if you use and AI-generated question guide, and will also inform the insights generated, as the insights will link directly back to your research goals.

This means that it is important you are clear when you define the goals, and update them if your objectives change throughout the project. You will be able to alter these research goals later in the study settings.

General guidelines for your research objectives include:

  • Aim for 3 to 5 objectives each roughly one sentence long.
  • Focus on clear objectives that specifiy what the research intends to achieve.
  • Avoid adding multiple aims or combining unrelated objectives into one.
  • Use outcome focused phrases "to determine," "to assess," or "to develop".

Tell participants about your study

Next you will be prompted to give your study a name and description to help participants understand your study.

  • Participant-facing study name: This should be a clear and concise name that is easy to understand
  • Study description: This should explain the purpose of the study and what participants should expect (e.g. what your study aims to do, if participants will participate in any tasks, how long the session will take, what their incentive will be, etc.)

Once both the study name and description are complete, you can click “Create project”.
