Strella Changelog – October 2, 2026

This week we shipped human-moderated studies, side-by-side segment comparison in Analysis, and a check that flags participants who may be reading prepared answers.

Run interviews yourself with human-moderated studies

You can now run interviews yourself over live video, while recruiting, recording, transcription, and analysis stay in Strella. Choose Human-moderated study in the Create a study dialog, and participants book from the times you set on the Scheduling tab.

Compare segments side by side in Analysis

On the Question view in Analysis, Compare splits the question charts into two to six groups of participants you define, so you can read their answers next to each other instead of flipping between filters.

Flag participants who may be reading prepared answers

Response Timing, one of the interview quality checks, now looks for a pattern of long pauses followed by long answers, a sign a participant may be reading prepared or AI-written responses. Interviews it flags get a Review recommendation.

Small fixes

  • Recording downloads: you can download a recording from its card on the Interviews grid, and downloaded files are now named after the participant, project, and date instead of "recording.mp4"
  • AI Chat and variants: AI Chat now knows which variant each participant was assigned, so you can ask it to compare, say, a monthly and an annual pricing variant
  • Help docs in chat: when you ask the setup chat or the Build chat what Strella can do, it now looks the answer up in the help docs first
  • Slider scales: slider questions now offer one-click presets: Percentage (0–100), 0–10, 1–10, and 1–5
  • AI-built guides: when the AI builds or imports a guide, it keeps your open questions open unless your source asks for a scale or a set of options, and labels every point on scale questions
