Strella Changelog – September 4, 2026

This week we shipped matrix questions, an NPS question type, screeners that fact-check verifiable claims, and AI Chat reels of a target length or clip count.

Matrix questions

Question Guides can now include a matrix question: rows of items, columns of options, and one pick per row. Answers read as a table in the transcript viewer and as clean text in exports and analysis.

An NPS question type

A Net Promoter question is now its own type. It asks on a fixed 0 to 10 scale, shown as buttons or a slider depending on the style you pick, and analysis shows the promoter, passive, and detractor split next to the NPS score.

Screeners fact-check verifiable claims

The AI screener evaluation has a new criterion, Fact Check: it searches the web for statements a participant made that can be checked publicly, and a participant whose claim proves false drops below the auto-invite threshold. The Fact Check row in a participant's AI rating quotes the statement and the evidence it weighed, so you can see what it decided.

Ask AI Chat for a reel of a target length or clip count

A reel request in AI Chat can now aim for a length or ask for a number of clips: "a two-minute reel of pricing objections," or "five clips on checkout."

Download the Question Guide in another language

On a multi-language study, downloading the Question Guide as DOCX or TXT now lets you pick a language. The guide's own language is preselected, and choosing a different one returns an estimated machine translation.

Small fixes

  • Reel captions: downloaded reels carry an English caption track, plus one in the interview's own language when it isn't English
  • Question Guide builder: when the builder is holding an older copy of a guide, it declines to autosave over newer work and saves its own copy to Version history
  • Report navigation: report views carry a column of scroll markers down the right edge, one per heading, and clicking a marker jumps to that section
