Strella Changelog – August 28, 2026

This week we shipped a similarity matrix for card sort results, sorting responses by their coded answer, better transcription for regional dialects, and downloads for every transcript in a project.

A similarity matrix for card sort results

Card sort analysis has a new Similarity matrix tab: for every pair of cards it shows the share of participants who put both in the same group. Cards that people tend to group together sit side by side, so clusters stand out as blocks.

Sort responses by their coded answer

In question-level analysis, responses can be sorted by coded answer so everyone in the same category sits together. Each coding on the question appears in the sort menu by name.

Better transcription for regional dialects

Regional variants now transcribe with local vocabulary and pronunciation rather than the standard dialect: Quebec French, Mexican Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese among them.

Download every transcript in a project at once

A project's Interviews tab has a new Download all transcripts item in its menu, pulling every interview transcript into a single file. Interviews a participant left early are marked Partial.

Small fixes

  • Touchscreen laptops: a Windows laptop with a touchscreen is recognized as a desktop, so its owner can join a desktop-only study
  • Uploading your own recordings: a file that takes more than a few minutes to upload now completes instead of being rejected at the end
  • Quota slots: deleting an interview releases the slot it was holding
  • Card sort instructions: participants read only the rules that apply to their sort type
